Baker Beach was transformed into a festive sea of clothes-free bodies running, jumping, wrestling, throwing, hopping, spinning, climbing, and not to mention body-painting! Winners were awarded with embossed coffee mugs. And as usual an amazing sand castle was built under the direction and artful hand of CastleBill!

George ("the Naked Yoga Guy") of San Francisco had been running a yearly event on Baker Beach which he called the "Nude Olympics". He rarely got more than 10 participants, but the intention was good. This year George agreed to let us combine with his event and see if we could kick-start this into a bigger event. So, in these galleries, you first see the races that George was running and then after gallery 2 it moves into Beach Party Day.
As of the posting of this gallery set, this beach day was the last time we did a big event on a beach. This was due to my preference to shift this kind of event inland where it is more predicably warm and sunny. Earlier that year (2011) we did a weekend retreat that I called "Bodyfest". By 2013 I had arranged with Lupin Lodge to host our first large inland event and I assigned the name Bodyfest to that event, which we did in 2013, 2014, and 2015. It was a combination of the retreat event and beach party, and images from those years will come in the future. There is no such event in 2016 because I felt I needed to focus on other priorities concerning this project overall. There just is not enough revenue to support running everything and I'm trying to develop some other approaches. If you have ever bought an admission fee, or bought a subscription here, or bought some of our videos on Vimeo, then you have really helped out tremendously and I'm very thankful!
