nomad-notes December 17, 2024 Recovery Status Update
In September our server crashed and we immediately started working on recovery. The pages for the galleries were saved but we had to rebuild the part that serves up the videos and photo galleries. The other part of our website that had user profiles, events, locations, forum, etc was not recoverable and we decided to let it go. Yes, that part is gone forever. It never really functioned very well anyway.
The original subscription database server is still intact so your log-ins and subscriptions are safe. Credit card info is NOT stored with us, so that is secure. We we were NOT hacked. Now we are mostly functional again.
We now offer a new way of streaming video that is excellent! We are using the Vimeo player and it has great features! We are adding older galleries back in as we go along. For updates see below.
We missed about one month of weekly updates but we got back on track late October. The restoring of older galleries is behind schedule but we are working on that too.
Galleries are ready to view from the newest back to Event gallery 76.

***BTW around end of September we ran a script that added 3 months of access to all active subscriptions to make up for the outage!
