A scouting trip to the foothills of the Sierras to check out a new potential property and a waterfall results in a photo shoot due to unexpected warm weather. A couple of days later it snows. But that's no deterrent to us to do our usual thing!

Some land in the wilderness near a waterfall was offered by one of our members and I thought we should scout it for viability. We drove west from San Jose to the small town of Twaine Harte and from there took small roads north into the foothills of the Sierras. There was still quite a bit of snow in large banks at the sides of the roads but everything was melting and causing a lot of mudiness. It was several hours of driving from the Bay Area. My intention was to just take location photos on this trip and I was not expecting it to be warm at all. We were blessed by a warm sunny day and ending up doing most of our scouting nude. The winter meltwater roared over the waterfall barely above freezing point, but Lee went in for a swim anyway. Yikes! Back on the property I was disappointed how rustic and decayed the buildings really were. But there was a lot of interesting junk around and we did end up taking quite a few photos of each other. I had left when only a couple days later it got cold and snowed. Using an amateur camera, those remaining took naked photos in the snow! We never did go back on an official trip or shoot to this location, but it is still a future possibility.
