This third year of naked camping we decide to go someplace more accessible and we found a private campground. It's a very hot dry summer and we are camping next to a reservoir with a low water level. Swimming is the most attractive activity! We do manage to take short hikes and a couple of Tantra energy yoga sessions right in the middle of nature.

Early that year Kris and I had researched and scouted other possible locations for camping. Blue Lake was amazing the previous years but required moving everything 400 feet along a path by hand to the edge of the lake, then by boat to our camping spot across the lake. There had to be a location somewhere we could drive right up to. We settled on a private (one party) campground on a reservoir north of Sacramento. This third summer of camping was insanely hot and there had been no rain in California. By the time we got there the reservoir looked like it had been drained. Last time we were there, the water came up to the camping spot. Not anymore! Other than the heat and low water it was a great weekend with a great bunch of people. Some might say it was a bit too civilized with portable toilets on-site and a battery-powered shower rigged up. Spencer, Jon and I shot a lot of photos (which you see here) and Jon and I also shot a fair bit of video which I'll have to edit one of these days.
