There are a number of beaches along the coast of California north of Santa Cruz suitable for nude recreation. We have been to a number of them repeatedly but never before to Laguna Creek Beach, also known as Three Mile Beach as the highway entrance is about 3 miles from the edge of Santa Cruz. A small group came out on this chilly June day.
gallery-1 114 photos After lunch in Davenport we drove to the beach, got naked and began to assemble our kites.
gallery-2 112 photos It is cold. But it is windy! Perfect for kite flying. We have free reign of the beach and fly 2 kites and let big fabric billow.
gallery-3 109 photos We retreat to the base of the cliffs and lie down on the soft sand where the sun can warm up our bodies.
gallery-4 120 photos We shoot a group shot by the surf, then head to the far end of the beach where we encounter thousands of seagulls!
gallery-5 127 photos We found a path up the side of the cliff leading to an amazing ecosystem on the top of the hill.

nomad-notes
This was one of those days where close to half of the expected group cancelled last minute due to various reasons... flu... accident... etc. I don't allow myself to be disappointed but rather make the most of things and try to make sure everyone is having fun. These darn California beaches are so unpredictable in terms of weather. Forecasts are close to useless. This day was beautiful and sunny. But on the beach it was cold and windy! Other textile people on the beach were bundled up against the cold and huddling. But us naked people were out there flying kites and running around!
