Nomad's Notes

You can see from the descriptions above that we actually went to another location initially because it was cold and cloudy when we arrived at the beach parking area. A quick consultation revealed a wildness path not far away. So that's where we headed and the result can be seen in the first 3 galleries. It was a great little unplanned adventure. There was just a couple groups of textle hikers that came by and they gave us smiles and high-fives. My plan was to spend a bit of time here by the creek and see what happens, then go back to the beach and hope for the best. It is very usual, along the coast, for the early part of the day to be overcast and cool and then later clear and warm up. Something about the "fog burning away" as people would say. We finally made it down to the beach. Perfect weather. No one else on the beach. The beach is named "Red Rock" because from the road there is giant red-colored boulder dominating the vew when you look toward the ocean. The rest of the geology around there is more of a grey color for some reason. There's a lot of evidence of tectonic salad-tossing over the eons. I did primarily shoot video this day.
