Nomad's Notes
I invited a few people from the Sacramento area to join me on a day trip to scout out a couple of popular nudist spots on the Yuba River near the town of Nevada City.
We first had lunch in the town (first image) then drove another 20 minutes or so on winding back roads to get to the parking lot shown in the photos. The weather forecast was cool and rainy on this October day so I really did not know what to expect. It turned out to be just warm enough and there was actually no rain while we were on the river. The soft cloudy light with the occasional sunburst offered a very nice light. And the lesson here is that sunshine is not always the best.
In my initial contact with Revina she said she was learning photography and had her own camera. I invited her to do some shooting on this trip as I am always looking for people to help with the photography, especially if they are women. It seems that photography is male dominated and I find that nude photography by men tends to have a certain approach that falls back to ideas about "female glamour" even if subconscious. Women tend to have a fresher more natural approach. Us guys just have to work at it a bit more, I guess. Revina's photography was very nice and I hope to have her back on another outing some time.
