Naturism celebrates everyday nudity shared in nature and in relaxed social environments. These galleries show people enjoying the outdoors together in a natural, equal, and unselfconscious way — whether swimming, exploring, creating, or simply spending time with friends. Nudity is simply part of the setting, not the focus, allowing everyone to feel at ease. These images reflect community, comfort, and a genuine connection to the world around us.
Bodyfreedom explores the many ways nudity is used creatively, symbolically, or expressively beyond traditional naturist settings. We got a few people together and played on the beach. Our very first shoot and we did not know where all this would lead. We were hoping more people would show up, but we had not organized things very well. It is worth taking a look anyway.

First Bodyfreedom Festival 2006

Some time ago, this was our second attempt to get a decent-size group to show up on the beach. This time it worked! So I declare this as our first body-freedom festival. The day was rather unfocused but I did manage to round up people to play a few games. There was a lot of "posing" which I realized was not quite what the objective was.

This gallery Set has "modeling" photos from a Naturism event. After this I made a major effort to make it clear to photographers that getting individuals to pose for you is a different intent, especially if it is male photographers shooting female subjects. This is potentially a sexually-charged behavioural pattern we want to avoid.

American River Meet-up 2007

This was one of our first trips with a small group. There was little planning, just letting things happen. This location near Auburn, California, always has at least a few nudists visiting. It's a rare spot on the river where there is actually a beach. You can usually safely be nude on any of the trails in the valley.

Smooth Sailing on the Bay 2008

We had lunch in the marina in Sausalito then headed over to Meredith (a magnificent sailboat) and got on board. It was the perfect day, just warm enough to be "au naturel" in the cool ocean breeze. We first headed in the direction of Golden Gate Bridge, then headed east to eventually circle around Angel Island and back to the marina. What a trip! Our movie of this event: Nclub Movies Website.

After much cajoling and teasing she finally has her way and the three of them spend the rest of the afternoon playing in the surf, exploring the rocks and just dozing in the sun.
